Copying and digitally retouching old photos and slides
If you have old family photos - prints or colour slides - consider that they won't last forever. Colours fade, slides can deteriorate, and even black and white photos slowly fade. The best time to sort through what you have and get it all copied and preserved for the future is right now!
Once you have digital copies and/or prints, the photos will be preserved for future generations. And framed prints of historic family photos make excellent gifts.
Here is a list of services I can offer. As each job is unique, I can give you a quote once I have a clear idea of the scale and complexity of the work involved, as well as the cost of any outsourced work such as colour photographic printing.
I can also photograph paintings, drawings, prints and other artworks - see Artwork photography
Note: I retouch the digital copy, but if you need a conservator to work on your original photos, or other paper documents and artworks, I recommend
Phillipa Durkin, Conservator - works on paper as an expert in this field. (Philippa stabilised the antique photo shown below to prevent further deterioration.)
