Photospace, 1st floor, 37 Courtenay Place, Wellington 6011 NZ I've been a professional photographer since the early 1990s, (see profile) and have turned my hand to many types of subject matter over the years. I most enjoy photographing people and artworks, but I can cover events and shoot architecture & engineering, modelling and acting portfolios, musicians and bands, and other stuff as well.
Whereas most photographers work from home or a small office, I run one of the few permanent photographic studios in the Wellington CBD, at Photospace, 37 Courtenay Place, which makes an ideal base. One of my favourite regular jobs has been covering the annual Webstock Conference, which is held in Wellington's historic Town Hall and St James Theatre, and features top notch international presenters. Here is one set of Webstock photos on Flickr taken by me, and there are tons more. Webstock 2016 slideshow - watch on YouTube in HD Webstock 2015 slideshow on YouTube I am happy to photograph publicity shots for arts events, actors, bands and musicians at somewhat less than the going commercial rate. This is because I've played in various alternative bands for longer than I've been a photographer, so I understand whats it's like trying to get together some good quality, creative photography to promote what you do to the cold, uncaring world out there. Just ask. Photographs of artworks - paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and other 3D works are also a specialty. Photos can be provided as hi-res digital files. There is quite a bit of technical skill and care required to get good photos, and I am used to handling artworks having run a gallery since 1998. |
